Virginity Club is Peyton Rodeffer (Pamphlet, Wilderness Alive, Peyton Rodeffer) David Sutton (The Paranormals, Lulu Mae, Clay-Chalkville Marching Band.), & Ben Smith (The Paranormals, Lulu Mae). Rodeffer, Sutton, and Smith have played together for years as touring musicians for other acts, as well as playing on each other's albums. Rodeffer reached out to Sutton during the Covid quarantine about writing a diy emo album. The two sent some demos back and forth which resulted in the album, “Youth Dial Up,” set to be recorded winter 2022. The three approached the album to have fun. Virginity Club is a band that represents a time when people didn’t have Spotify but burnt albums for their friends because of how much they cared about the music being made. It’s a band about how the social gathering was the show, when your life was defined by the music.
After writing the band’s first single, “True Friends,” Rodeffer reached out to long time friends Tim Craven and band mates, David Sutton and Ben Smith with a simple request to help him make an emo band. Rodeffer, Sutton, and Smith grew up in the late emo scene. The three have worked on many projects together with Nashville producer Tim Craven.
Virginity Club is currently finishing their first full length album. Tour dates for the new year will be posted soon.
